BL-Before Lost...
...there was Indiana Jones! I am so excited to be anticipating another Indy episode...I can hardly contain myself...for an adult. What's more important though, is that this 4th installment, marks the return of the best damsel not-quite-in-distress...Marion Ravenwood aka Karen Allen. This casting choice only further proves the genius of the Lucas/Spielberg team. Even thought they have made us(fans of their films)wait irreverent lapses of time between films(mostly referring to the SW saga)...in my fangeek heart it is always worth the wait. Certain movies have always held special places in the sentimental reaches of my cynical heart and nothing brings you back to that place of a simpler time than the memories surrounding a favorite film. Sitting in a darkened theater in anticipation, each minute seemingly an eternity, til at last the sweeping orchestral soundtrack wisks you away. Adventures untold, reality be damned...at least for a dimlit couple of hours. It is in that isolated setting that the true experience of the film can be realized, and only then can it be fully appreciated, and remembered for years to come.Light, sound and sensation melded into a nugget of solid gold enchantment. Okay, so these guys could use another big payday, more power to em'! I'm game!

To Early For A Countdown!
I am anxiously anticipating the new season of LOST without trying to get too wrapped up in the spoilers and rumors, but still find myself checking almost everyday! Even with work being hectic, and things to get done at home always waiting...I am searching the sites. I've tried to get involved in other shows in the meantime, but don't really feel a connection to any one in particular, not like with LOST. I love the mystery, the not-knowing-everything at once...it keeps me guessing, invested, curious...what is really going on and where will it all lead. There are shows that have tried to emulate LOST's structure but it's kinda like when I first saw a Harry Potter movie, all I kept telling myself was " they copied that from Star Wars". It's, as they say, the greatest compliment to be imitated.Unfortunately, it's damn hard to be substituted. Which leads me back to my dilema...waiting for LOST to start it's new season. It's too early for a countdown yet! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year all come before LOST...for craphole island's sake!

I'm Not Ignoring My Blog, Really I'm Not!
Just to show that I am not neglecting my duties as a blogger...I'm gonna make myself late for work. Besides, Bruce Springsteen is on the morning show and he's really why I am late. For years I didn't appreciate Bruce, but as I have gotten older I have really come to love him quite a bit. So, please don't take me to seriously when I say that Jack is my 'least liked character'. There is more to it than that, sometimes i actually catch myself smiling when he's on screen...to my utter horror. Out of respect for Mianne and her fabulous taste, I will give him another chance and keep an open mind. After all the actor, and I are the same age, born in the same "Year of the Horse"...not just any horse the "Fire Horse". If you know anything about Chinese astrology...we are very moody people. I will leave it at that! Now I need to 'hele' for reals!

My Picks
Jack
Desmond
Claire
Walt
Penny
Libby
Christian
I've tried to figure in whose stories will be explored this season. My one pick sort of out-of-the-loop is Walt, but since Michael is coming back I'm sure he will be seen, at least in a flashback. I also am feeling that he might be interacting with Locke again. I probably should explain why I picked Jack (my least liked character), instead of Locke... or Ben for that matter. My rationalization is simply that I feel strongly that the Jack, Christian, Claire family tree will get some screen time. Everybody else relates directly to Desmond in some way. Penny and Des, Claire and Des, Libby and Des. I think Libby will show up in either a Des or Hurley flashback, and everybody has been hounding D & C for explanations for her possible connections to the Widmores and/or Dharma.

Lost League
So I've created this blog to play in the DarkUFO Lost Fantasy League. Perhaps my brain can muster a few clever thoughts in the mean time... except that I have to get some sleep at the moment. Til next time...
